MLK DAY

So this last Monday I had the day off for MLK day, it was so good to have a day just me and Dusty. We were talking about it and the last time we hung out ALL DAY together just US was in November when we went to Grandma and Grandpa's cabin. WOW where does the time go...WORK! The weather was GREAT and so we came up with a plan to head to Tempe Town Lake and rent a paddle boat. Well after about an hour of driving back and forth across the bridge on Mill and asking several people where the boat rental place was, and everyone of them having a different answer we gave up! We ended up at Macayo's in downtown Tempe and hung outside there. It was fun to be just us!

New Years Eve and Dustin's Birthday

This New Years we went over to Dustin's not my Dusty but a friend named Dustin. It was also his birthday party. We left pretty early and ended up sleeping in Lyndsey and Brett's truck. Long story...just hope that our year doesn't turn out the same as our New Years night.

The rest of Utah trip

I still have pictures from Utah that need to be seen and posted. I love pictures.

I loved this view of the mountains from mom's porch
Dusty pretending to pick his nose. We were at Becky's on Christmas for the Prime Rib cook off
Fred and Jake. Fred was passed out as usual

Me and Brady at the Jazz game. My last night in town my mom told me to take their Jazz tickets at 6:15 for a 7 o'clock game. So I called my snowboard instructor and asked if he wanted to go. He said YES
Brady liked this car and thought it was "SWEET" so we took a picture
Fred and Bryan worked so hard keeping the drive way cleared of all the snow. I did somehow get stuck in the Dodge one day and had to have Bryan come and get me out, but I think that was user error on my part.
Cortez trying to get Fred's train
We tried wrapping Cortez up for the gift exchange, maybe Brent would have taken him...YEAH RIGHT!

A little Update

My last few posts have just been slide shows. I love doing slide shows because it doesn't look like I take a thousand pictures if they just breeze through them. But then I hate them because I can't write what is going on. I guess most everyone knows that we were in Utah for Christmas. It was SOOO good to be home with our family and friends, we get so wrapped up in everyday life that I tend to forget how much I really do miss everyone. When we were there we ran from here to there and everywhere in between. Christmas was nice and snowy. Dusty came home the day after with Jaime and Austin my cousin joined them and he stayed the weekend.

I stayed in Utah until the 30th for Lorrie and Bryan's reception, then drove home with Lyndsey and Brett since they came for New Years. When we were packing to leave I had over packed just a tad...and Lyndsey ended up breaking her trunk in the process of getting my bag in her car. I told her I would ride in the back of the car with my bag, but she was trying to give me more room. We ended up in Brett's truck and started south. New Years we went to some friends house and most of Lynn and Brett's visit consisted of eating and wii playing. We had Audrey and Cole over for cards one night and it was a lot of fun to get to know them, we are related but never have really hung out. I hope we didn't scare them away!

I started back to work Monday and I am ready for a vacation already. The Holidays were great, and what a difference a year makes. I am looking forward to what 2009 brings. Life seems positive right now and I hope that this year stays that way. Thank you to all our family and friends who made 2008 great. I am so looking forward to 2009!
