Brazilian BBQ

Last night Dusty made a Brazilian dinner in honor of his brother Cory, that is where he had gone on his mission. I do believe a picture is worth a thousand words and a thousand taste buds...it was so good!
Bacon wrapped chicken, Parmesan Sirloin, Portuguese Sausage and Honey glazed Pineapple.

And we couldn't forget dessert which was ice cream with banana's and Brazilian nuts.

Remembering Cory, Curtis and Jason

Just wanted to post a quick note. It's been two years ago today that we lost our Cory. Oh do we miss him. And Cory's little family lost another member today their little puppy Rusty. Cory loved that dog. He had been sick and they had to put him down today, my heart goes out to his family. Rusty will sure be missed by those four kids.

Yestserday was 4 years for our friends Curtis, and Jason who passed away. That is how we got our little name "Cortez" for our puppy.

Ugly Sweater Party

This was my first official ugly sweater party. If you ask Dusty I am sure I have plenty of ugly sweaters but I couldn't find one so I went to Goodwill and bought one for $2.99, and added a little flair to it.

My first Boat Parade

Last Saturday was my first ever Christmas boat parade. IT WAS THE COOLEST THING EVER! and I finally figured out where I want to live when I grow up on this lake and in this house that the Christmas party was at. Mike and Cathy were the hosts, they live on a man made lake in Ahwatukee. I was lucky to get an invite and was so sad that Dusty had to work...I had enough fun for the both of us :)
The boat that we road in
Mike and Cathy's house from the lake. Seriously Griswold's Christmas Vacation is all that comes to mind when you see this place.

We were taking in some water...just a little scary out in the middle of the lake.

Dr Holexa's Christmas Party

It seems like yesterday that I was busy blogging all through December of last year. One Christmas party after another. And here we are again. Where does time go? The other night Dr and Mrs Holexa had their annual Christmas party. It is always so intimate and fun, they make everyone feel like family. Dr Holexa is the doctor I work under at my work for over 3 years now we have been working together. His wife Debbie is a hygienist and works for Mesa Community College, they use our clinic at night so I run in to her almost every other day. The Holexa's are some of the best people I have met.
Me and Dr Holexa...between him and Dusty over the past 3 or 4 months they don't let me go a day or two without fresh flowers on my desk. I think they have a schedule I don't know about.
Some of the girls students in my clinic that I have gotten to be really close with. Again with the time I feel that just the other day I was having breakdown's because I missed all my friends that had graduated. It is amazing how other friendships start.
Aww my girlies... Julia, Anna, Michele, Me and Andraina (those antlers aren't mine, just happen to be at the right time and right place)
Dr Holexa and some of the guys from our clinic
Debbie and Eiliah who is their grandson, his curly hair is to die for. So cute!

DUSTY's 30!!!

Last Saturday was Dusty's 30th Birthday and we had a party to celebrate. I realized I hate throwing parties and get togethers. If you have one I will try to be there but don't expect me to throw one. I was so stressed about the party. But luckily everything turned out well, I had a few people more then I had planned for but we had plenty of room and tons of fun! For anyone who couldn't make it we missed you,and will have to find sometime to get together soon.

We ended up going out to The Bungalow in Scottsdale, it was really nice and laid back definitely Dusty's type of place.
Everyone singing Happy Birthday to Dusty.
Cutting the cake....did I tell you how bad I need a new camera?
