Dusty's orange dinner

Last week when Bryan and Danielle were here visiting Dusty wanted to make dinner for them and my Grandparents. He wanted to make every piece of it have some sort of orange ingredient added since my grandparents have the best orange tree's ever and not to forget the pecans for dessert.

This was our appetizers...tomatoes, french bread, pancheta, mozzarella and pesto with orange zest. My grandpa kept wondering where the butter was, we explained that there was no butter you put the pesto on first and then add whatever else you would like on top of that. So pesto is now "Green butter" to him, and to us now also. Grandpa kept asking to pass the green butter...so funny
The main course had mashed potatoes with red and green peppers, onions, orange juice and butter cream. The pork was marinaded in the pesto aka green butter over night then grilled to perfection. The Milanesa was soaked in eggs with orange zest, bread crumbs and fried.

I forgot to get a picture of the drink which was cranberry juice with ginger ale and some mint muddled in.

Dessert was vanilla ice cream with a Carmel orange topping and some pecans sprinkled across the top.
